Mum came to visit at the end of August and we had a few adventures while she was here.
I picked them up from the airport and we leaped straight into the adventures with a drive to North Van via the scenic route... up Granville, across the Burrard Bridge (scroll down to see the picture) which is significant as both Ma and I have used it to keep "in touch" with Vancouver weather etc, and then along Beach and out through Stanley Park and over Lions Gate Bridge. So an hour after touch-down we'd ticked about 3 things off Ma's list, not bad.
After a short breather and tour de appartment, we nipped down to Deep Cove (a mile or so from my place) and took in the ambiance.
It was Deep Cove Daze that day so there was a load of stuff going on, including some really good live music...
It'd been a long day so after a quick fish n chips, we called it a day, I think Ma and Tim were impressed with 'the cove' though...
...and check out the sign in the chip shop window: Teriyaki Fish & Chips !! Welcome to multi-cultural Vancouver!!!!!!!!
